Amaro, a Maize, KS native coached two seasons at Wichita North High School. She played two years at Pittsburg State University, KS after two for Coach Ronda Shirley’s 2012 Tyler Junior College Apache Ladies, which went undefeated in Region XIV and finished fifth in the NJCAA Tournament. That season, Amaro was the Region XIV Setter of the Year, second-team All-Region and first-team All-District. She ranked second in assists all season.
