Personal background and interests

Originally from Venezuela, Coach Jose moved to the US in 1990 and became a US Citizen in 2020. Grew up in Philadelphia and upstate New York and moved to Dallas in 1998. Outside of Volleyball, Coach Jose enjoys running and playing golf in his free time.

Coaching Philosophy

My coaching philosophy is one that creates an environment that encourages athletes to learn and develop on and off the playing field.  I believe that playing sports helps athletes build character and confidence. It also prepares them for life, teaching them about working as a team or as a team player, not as an individual.

Motto

“Recognize that every interaction you have is an opportunity to make a positive impact on others” – Shep Hyken.
